From the original ELCC post: Different materials, endless discoveries! 🧩🌈 A colourful ring, a puzzle piece, or a simple learning toy can become the beginning of something meaningful. As children sort, stack, match, and experiment with different materials, they're discovering patterns, practising fine-motor coordination, and developing confidence in their own choices. At Early Learning Childcare Centre, we believe children learn best when they have opportunities to explore, follow their curiosity, and discover at their own pace. 💛 Because learning doesn't always look like a lesson. Sometimes, it looks like play! 📍 Port Coquitlam | Coquitlam | Maple Ridge, BC 🌐 www.earlylearningpoco.com #EarlyLearningChildcareCentre #PlayBasedLearning #EarlyChildhoodEducation #LearningThroughPlay #FineMotorSkills #ToddlerActivities #PreschoolLearning #BCChildcare #PortCoquitlam #Coquitlam #MapleRidge
Learning through play can offer children opportunities to explore materials, practise communication, build independence and discover ideas alongside others. The value comes from engagement and curiosity, not just a finished product.
Our educators value developmentally appropriate, hands-on experiences and the everyday relationships that support children and their families.
