ELCC 2026-10-23: Little explorers, big autumn discoveries!
This ELCC classroom video was shared on 2026-10-23, documenting how children learn, explore and connect through everyday play.
Original ELCC caption: Little explorers, big autumn discoveries! 🎃🍁🌿 Our Early Learning Childcare Centre field trip to Laity Pumpkin Patch in Maple Ridge was filled with colourful leaves, woodland pathways, pumpkins, and so many interesting things to discover! From spotting animal displays along the trail to observing the beautiful changing colours of autumn, every step created another opportunity for curiosity and conversation. 🦌🍂 Field trips allow children to experience learning beyond the classroom, explore new surroundings, and make meaningful memories alongside their friends. At ELCC, we believe play-based learning is everywhere—not just inside our classrooms. 💛 📍 Laity Pumpkin Patch | Maple Ridge, BC 🏡 Early Learning Childcare Centre | Port Coquitlam • Coquitlam • Maple Ridge 🌐 www.earlylearningpoco.com #LaityPumpkinPatch #MapleRidgeBC #PreschoolFieldTrip #OutdoorLearning #PlayBasedLearning #NatureExploration #EarlyLearningChildcareCentre #EarlyChildhoodEducation #BCChildcare
What this experience illustrates: hands-on materials and supportive relationships can encourage curiosity, communication, confidence and early development. Children benefit from open-ended opportunities rather than only a fixed final result.
