ELCC 2026-10-28: Little hands, big discoveries!
This ELCC classroom video was shared on 2026-10-28, documenting how children learn, explore and connect through everyday play.
Original ELCC caption: Little hands, big discoveries! 🧩🌈💛 Sometimes, the simplest activities create the most meaningful learning opportunities. From colourful pegboards and building blocks to matching pictures and experimenting with different materials, every little activity encourages children to explore, try new ideas, and discover what works. Through hands-on play, children have opportunities to practise fine-motor coordination, problem-solving, independence, and creativity. And when children play alongside their peers, they can observe, share discoveries, and learn from one another. At Early Learning Childcare Centre, we believe children learn in their own unique ways and at their own pace. 🌿 Because learning isn't always about getting the right answer. Sometimes, it's about the joy of figuring things out! 📍 Port Coquitlam • Coquitlam • Maple Ridge, BC 🌐 www.earlylearningpoco.com #EarlyLearningChildcareCentre #PlayBasedLearning #LearningThroughPlay #FineMotorSkills #ToddlerActivities #PreschoolLearning #EarlyChildhoodEducation #BCChildcare #IndependentLearning
What this experience illustrates: hands-on materials and supportive relationships can encourage curiosity, communication, confidence and early development. Children benefit from open-ended opportunities rather than only a fixed final result.
